THE SANCTUARY

The "2300-day prophecy" in Daniel 8:14 refers to a period mentioned by an angel in Daniel’s vision, where it is said that "the sanctuary will be cleansed." Many interpret these "days" as years, and this prophecy is often linked to historical events such as the desecration of the Jewish Temple by Antiochus IV Epiphanes. Some Christian groups, like Seventh-day Adventists, interpret the 2300 years as starting from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem in 457 BCE, leading to a significant spiritual event in the 19th century, marking a new phase in God’s judgment.
